Kaylie is a figurative painter, born in New York, NY in 1987. Having grown up both in the city and in an old farmhouse in the countryside, she loved to draw the different people, animals and landscapes she observed. She has always been enthralled by the 19th century artwork painted by her great-great grandfather, and in 2017 she decided she wanted to train as he did. She moved to Italy and has spent the last few years receiving her formal education in traditional drawing and painting at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence. She loves travelling around Europe to find new subjects to paint, particularly enjoying the sharp contrast between the warm colours of Italy and the cool greens and dramatic landscapes of Scotland and Ireland.
