Born 1959 in England. Painter and sculptor of animals. Trained at Berkshire College of Art. He has worked for the BBC, and for the National History Museum’s modelling department 1984-89. Appointed to the National Museum of Denmark where he prepared the new display of life size polar bears. He began working in bronze in 1990 and held a one man exhibition in Luxembourg in 1994. Many commissions followed from the RSPB, the WWF, Courtaulds etc.

Otter Diving won an international award in 2017 and his Flying Red Grouse was selected for exhibition in London with the Society of
Wildlife Artists. The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Promoted the Tiger time project in 2013 using Martin’s Gilded Tiger 2063 which is now part of the permanent collection of the International Nature in Art Museum
in Gloucestershire. Martin’s work has been catalogued by all the major Art Houses and in 2015 his work sold at Sotheby’s in New York as part of a noted Auction
Recent commissions include The Disney Corporation, The Getty Estate and the Royal Court.
