Geoff is an entirely self taught artist. He was born in Lancashire and his early working life was as a gamekeeper and seeing wildlife in its different seasons, has helped him considerably with his paintings. Acrylic and gouache paint are two of mediums, but is moving more into oil paint. His subjects cover birds, mammals, flowers, butterflies and landscapes. Dogs and horses are a large part of his commission work.

Geoffs work has been published as calendars, greeting cards and postcards for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, the World Wildlife Fund for Nature and many other organizations too many to mention. He has painted two sets of Royal Doulton plates for the Bradford Exchange which have sold worldwide. He also has approx' 85 prints published from his original paintings. His originals and prints are in private collections all over the world.

In 2004, Geoff entered for the first time, the Not The Turner Prize Exhibition, sponsored by the Daily Mail. There were 10,000 entries from all over the British Isles and 200 paintings were picked to be hung in the Mall Gallery, London. His picture of a Peregrine Falcon in an Elm Tree was in the top 50 paintings.
