Born Glasgow, painter in mainly oil of genre, historical subjects and country sports especially hunting. Trained at the RA Schools and Academie Julien in Paris. Lived for a time in Glasgow and London, and Dunning in Perthshire, moved to Little Kimble, Bucks around 1920. Exhibited seven times at the Royal Academy, the RSA (3), ROI (3), RHA (2), Glasgow Institute (19) and London (2). Represented in Glasgow AG.
